What is Éclos?

Éclos is Cosentino’s latest hybrid surface material, engineered to combine exceptional durability with refined aesthetics and a more sustainable manufacturing process. The world of kitchen surfaces continues to evolve, and Cosentino’s latest innovation, Éclos, is setting a new benchmark. It combines the best characteristics of Quartz and Porcelain, whilst maintaining their commitment to sustainability.

ÉCLOS VS QUARTZ?

For quite some time, Quartz has been a customer favourite for use as kitchen worktops, as it is easy to maintain and extremely durable. One drawback is that Quartz is heat-resistant, not heat-proof (generally up to 150 °C). With new technology and innovation, Éclos is extremely heat-resistant (up to 200°C), allowing you to place your pots and pans directly onto your work surface.

Unlike traditional Quartz, Éclos has Zero Crystalline Silica, making it extremely safe when fabricating.

ÉCLOS VS PORCELAIN

Porcelain has become increasingly popular due to its exceptional heat and scratch resistance. Éclos shares many of these high-performance qualities while introducing several unique benefits.

The IN LAYER 3D DESIGN gives Éclos a richer visual appearance, providing more depth than many porcelain surfaces. It has been developed to combine outstanding technical performance with the warmth and character homeowners often seek in natural materials.
