Remove Coffee Stains from Quartz Worktops
Quartz worktops are well-known for being stain-resistant however they are not stain-proof and can be victim to stubborn tea and coffee stains. Here is a comprehensive guide on how to tackle stubborn stains.

Thankfully, several methods can help remove or lessen these stains, starting with the gentlest approach:
1. Warm water and dish soap: This simple method works surprisingly well for fresh tea or coffee stains. Mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water, dampen a soft microfiber cloth, and wipe the stained area. Rinse the cloth frequently and dry the surface with a clean, dry cloth.
2. Baking soda paste: For slightly more stubborn stains, create a paste using baking soda and water. Apply the paste directly to the stain and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Gently scrub the area with the paste using a damp cloth, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
3. The Pink Stuff / Astonish – The Original Cleaning Paste: Both The Pink Stuff and Astonish – The Original Cleaning paste, truly are a miracle cleaning paste. You can apply a small amount to the affected area, leave for approximately 5 minutes and remove with a micro fibre cloth.
4. Cif: Cif can also be used sparingly.
- Test a small, inconspicuous area of the countertop first to ensure it doesn’t cause any damage.
- Gently dab the stained area. Do not rub as this can spread the stain.
- Rinse the area thoroughly with clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
5. Specialized quartz cleaner: If the above methods fail, consider using a specialized quartz cleaner. These cleaners are formulated specifically for quartz countertops and are usually safe to use. Always follow the instructions on the product label carefully.
